Medicare

Making sure medical bills are the least of your worries.

Medicare is health insurance for those who are turning 65 and older, or they are on early disability. Original Medicare has a Part A for hospital coverage, and Part B for medical coverage. Prescription drug coverage is not provided under original Medicare, but can be obtained through a Part D Plan.

All insurance companies, insurance plans, and insurance agents are regulated under the Federal Department of Health and Human Services. Insurance companies offer many types of insurance to cover costs not covered by original Medicare.

Medicare supplements are one option. They are lettered plans which have a monthly premium, but limit your out of pocket costs for hospital and medical. A Part D plan for prescription drugs can be purchased separately.

Medicare Advantage plans cover hospital, and medical costs, and may offer prescription drug coverage. Some have zero monthly premiums, but do have co-pays, or fixed fees, when you use the plan. These Medicare Advantage plans do have an annual maximum out of pocket.

There are so many options, so it is important to discuss your current insurance, and choose a plan that fits your needs. Please call for a free, competitive quote.
